My teaching philosophy combines cognitive constructivism and social constructivism: students learn best when they actively connect new information to what they already know, and when they build that understanding together. I aim to move past "good teaching" in the narrow sense — the kind measured by how clearly content is delivered — toward meaningful engagement, where learning is co-constructed through dialogue, curiosity, and experimentation. My design of instruction follows Backward Design principles (Wiggins & McTighe), so that every activity supports a measurable outcome. Drawing on behaviorist elements for skill mastery and cognitivist strategies for problem solving, I use real data-driven examples and storytelling to make technical content accessible and memorable.
